so yeah i know i keep saying i'm gonna start using my da again

and like i will i really will it's just taking some time

just now i went through all my old stuff and i can literally re-read the beginnings of all the friendships i made here and some of the things i've read have really bummed me out and like now i use tumblr more than da and god knows why that is because tumblr is a cesspool of psychosis that i really don't want to even stick my toe in but for some reason i bathe in it on the regular and /that/ bums me out even more lol

anyway. moving on up in the world. i took a job as head director of arts and crafts at girl scout camp. definitely a solid starting point in an art career; girl scouts are fantastic references and being in a leadership position is great. who knows, maybe some day i'll be able to afford knee surgery and get back to truck driving. maybe some day i'll get to drive trucks and get paid to do art. who knows. that's the dream. we'll see where it goes.

so. on the agenda: gonna go to camp for a month, i'm only here for today and tomorrow and then i'll be back to camp for four weeks, and when i get back i'm gonna upload a buttload of pictures of the projects the campers did, and a little side project of my own. big secret, that. but i'll give you a hint and the hint is 'breaking bad'. anyone who figures out what i'm talking about that i haven't already told gets poorly drawn robot porn. even if you don't want it.

So I eventually decided to focus my efforts more on fixing up the inside of my truck rather than the outside. Good thing, too, because this truck is /shiiiiiiit/. Seriously; I had to yank the anti-lock brakes because they kept locking up when they weren't supposed to, I have one power window, the other (the driver's side, natch) had broken and got stuck open, so I yanked out the power window mechanism and replaced it with a manual one, but since I don't have a crank I had to hack a hole in the door panel and use a wrench to open and close it (which is so not worth the effort), my bumper fell off on my way to West Paris a few weeks ago, the power locks don't work anymore, and on top of everything, someone nailed it when I wasn't looking. Now I have a giant dent on the driver's side. Fortunately the door still opens. I still see Ironhide around town, though. At least he looks good, anyway. I have to stop myself from going up to the kid who owns it and make sure he's taking good care of him. >>

Anyway. I've still been drawing, but not much else, but now that I'm back in school (KILL MEEEE) (just kidding it's just one class for one semester) (no seriously though kill me), I'm likely going to start crocheting again because paying attention in class isn't really something I /do/. I want to open up my Etsy account again, and I think I'm gonna start by filling it up with these cute little octopuses (apparently 'octopi' isn't correct?) wearing top hats. I made the first one for a friend back in Texas, but goddamn it was so cute and I must share them with the world. And--shock and awe--I'm going to sculpt again. O: I've finally got the time, the space, and the stove to cook them in. And the, you know, actual desire to do it. I was lacking that for a bit. 

Oh, also, for the four people left in the world who didn't know, I got a cat. He is huge for his age and eats everything. I mean that; he ate the paint chips off the wall. ><

So yeah stay tuned for...maybe some uploads. I don't have a scanner or a camera here, so I'll have to bring everything up to my mother's and scan/photograph everything when I go visit her. And God knows when that'll be.

My poor baby Ironhide is officially out of commission. v.v His frame rusted to bits while I was gone, and I can't get a sticker for him. So I've gotten a new truck

WHICH I LOATHE

So since I give literally zero shits about this truck, I'm gonna do something really stupid with it. My father has the equipment and the skills to teach me how to paint it, so I'm about to go crazy on it. I've started calling it the land boat for some reason so I want to do a decepticon pirate theme with it. This is the model:

And it's currently a dark blue, which I don't much care for. Dark red is my favorite color for a pickup maybe that or charcoal grey, but does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do with it? I was thinking instead of the straight decepticon decals, I could do something different and get some of the pirate ones made up and do something crazy with the paint job.

Also nobody can suggest plaid because it's already on the table.

Jesus I hate Gary. What else is new. /sigh

Uh. I'm really not feeling all that at home on DA as of late, I mean, it's probably because I haven't been able to upload anything in a while, and now that I think about it, I really miss those days where I would upload eight or nine pictures at a time and sit back and wait to see who commented on them and I'd giggle and clap my hands and bounce up and down in my seat and then get to work on the next piece.

Well...obviously those days are long gone; you may have noticed I don't sculpt much anymore, and it's a damn shame but I just haven't got the time or the means anymore. I'd like to get back into it but it's gonna have to wait until I finally have a place of my own, and if you know anything about me, you know I'm about as institutionalized as an eighty year old man serving out a life sentence he was dealt as a teenager. I mean to say, I'm in an institution and have no intention of leaving any time soon if I have any say in the matter.

Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is that when I /do/ get back on DA, I'm likely not going to be uploading a lot of fanart anymore. Or maybe I will, I honestly can't say. Lately I haven't been drawing a lot of fanart and I haven't really had much of a desire to; the only thing I've been drawing much of in the way of fanart is neopets. Lately I've been drawing a lot of concept art and the like, and that's likely what you'll see when I start uploading again. My goals have changed, when I was younger my dream was to work with Pixar as a sculptor. As of late, I'm about as impressed with Pixar as a wet fart (seriously guys, you /invented/ CGI as a storytelling medium so why are Dreamworks and Disney one-upping you in both story telling /and/ animation?), and have turned my attentions elsewhere.

I guess I'm getting ahead of myself. Long story short; God knows what the state of this page is gonna be when I get myself back on top of things again. Stay tuned. (but not, like, /too/ tuned, I mean, go about your daily lives, it might be a while before something happens here. Just be assured that /something's/ going to happen at some point before the earth is expected to fall into the sun.)
